9-11-01. Hard to believe it's been 10 years since the attacks on our great country. I remember being in Tuesday Morning on that terrible Tuesday morning. I was with my mother and brother doing some shopping. My brother was in the checkout line when the people in line started getting calls about a plane hitting the Twin Towers. My brother then told me and my mom to go to his vehicle and turn on the radio to see what was going on. As we listened to the tragedy unfold, it became obvious this was clearly a terrorist attack. We left Tuesday Morning and went across the road to a convenient store, where I called my wife from a pay phone, since we didn't have a cell phone yet. She said another plane had hit the Pentagon. She said planes were just hitting everywhere randomly. I made sure she was ok, our children were 8 and 6 at the time. After hanging up, I remember scanning the sky wondering, would one hit here? I was scared. What was going on and when would it end? We headed home, and after a little while I drove out to where my Dad was mowing a yard. He had not heard of the attacks, so I told him the news. We went inside of the elderly lady's house and watched the unthinkable happen. Ten year later it's still as real to me as the day it happened. I pray for all who lost loved ones that day, also for Mr. Bush who was our President then. I thought he did a great job leading our country in the time of uncertainty, fear, and confusion. May we never forget 9-11-01.
